BUTTE – The Orediggers ran their winning streak to five and put an end to the Saints’ playoff hopes along the way.
It was Military Appreciation Day in Butte and Montana Tech celebrated with a 42-14 victory over Carroll in the regular season finale.
Landers Smith racked up four touchdowns to bring his total to 22 on the year. Smith put up 170 yards on 33 carries.
The Orediggers are now 9-2 overall and 7-2 in Frontier Conference play and have put themselves in great position for an at-large berth in the NAIA Football Championship Series.
